This is to let everyone know about the GovNet conference which
is being held at the ANU from 20 November to 1 December. The conference
covers a range of issues relevant to policy makers and researchers with
speakers from UK, NZ, Canada, USA, Denmark and Hong Kong as well as
Australia.
There is a stream on social policy which aims to explore the policy
implications of rights based
approaches to social policy.

This stream is scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday 29 November and
consists of two sessions.

More information about the conference is available through the conference
website:
http://govnetconference2006.anu.edu.au/index.php

I have also attached a pdf document of the conference brochure.

Conference registration is free is you are a GovNet member and it does not

cost anything to become a member. Don't worry about registering - one
of the conference administrators (Shellaine Godbold) has registered
everyone if they e-mail (shellaine.godbold_at_anu.edu.au) her their name,
work affiliation and work contact details.

The regulation stream at the conference is being held all day Thursday 30
Nov and the Partnerships stream (convened by Withers and Chapman) on the
morning of Friday 1 Dec.
