Australasian Chapter of IAFFE at the 4rd SHE conference
12–13 December 2005

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Australasian Chapter of the International Association for Feminist
Economics is organising a plenary and several paper sessions at the third
conference of the Australian Society for Heterodox Economics on 12–13
December 2005.

We welcome offers of papers on all aspects of feminist economics. Possible
topics include:
à The gendered impact of economic policy
à Developments in feminist economic theory
à Reflections on where feminist approaches fit into heterodox
economics
à Explorations of the philosophical underpinnings of feminist
approaches to economic problems
à Research on the relative economic position of women in different
race or class groups
à Interdisciplinary approaches to analyzing gender in the economy
à Feminist approaches to finance theory in general and
superannuation / pension systems in particular

Non-economists are very welcome to participate in the conference and
submit papers in related areas.

Postgraduate students are also very welcome to submit abstracts.

Please email abstracts of papers to Christina Ho as soon as possible prior
to mid November 2005. Prospective participants can submit papers either as
individuals or jointly as proposed panels. You may wish to make a
preliminary approach to the organisers before you make a formal
submission.

Individuals please send your abstract as attachment in MS Word format,
with the file name <yourfamilyname_SHE2005_ab.doc> (for co-authored
papers, please use the name of the first author.). Be sure to include your
contact details in the document.

Panel proposals, please choose a title for your panel and send abstracts
of all proposed papers in one document with the file name
<Panel_keyword_SHE2005_ab.doc>. Be sure to include contact details for all
panellists in the document.
